I'm April, the Creative Director and design expert behind Selwyn's by Design - and I believe your website should feel like you.
I'm a designer, strategist and self-confessed creative "non-shy" introvert, originally from Australia and now helping women around the world create brands and websites they're genuinely proud to share.
Selwyn's by Design exists to help female life coaches build beautiful, intentional brands that reflect who they are - not just what they sell.
My background spans the creative industry, including modelling and acting, through to corporate roles across government, executive support and national management…..
Every chapter taught me something about communication, presentation, and attention to detail - skills I now pour into every website and brand I create.
That combination of creative instinct and practical business experience allows me to look at your brand from more than one perspective: not just how it looks, but how it communicates, functions and supports your business.

My ambition is to help them bring that vision to life.
Like many, my journey grew from the stillness of lockdowns - when life slowed down enough to listen to that inner voice saying, “You were made to create.”
So I did.
Even when the road wasn’t fast or straightforward, I kept designing, refining and building what you see today - a business that honors creativity, compassion and connection.

Behind the Name: The Heart of Selwyn’s by Design…..
I couldn’t go without sharing the story behind the name….
Way back in 2020, I started my own logo designs….(2020!) But I let life get in the way for a couple years & dropped the priority of making my business goals happen.
Determined to start my own entrepreneurial & designer journey, there was always only one clear choice behind the name……….
My Dad - Selwyn Walker - a man I remember for his quiet strength, humor, patience and integrity.
Funny, kind, supportive…. & I realized much later - always looked peaceful in photos.
He had a way of helping people without needing recognition for it. Funny, kind and incredibly supportive, and he always encouraged me in whatever I was passionate about.
I didn't name my business after him simply to honor his memory. I named it to carry something of what he modelled forward.
I won’t be cliché with “he said I could do anything I set my mind to” (don’t recall him saying that exactly!)
But he DID support me whole heartedly with anything I was keen for.
I know he’d be proud.
He taught me the quiet power of helping others.
Now I carry that legacy into every brand I design.
